Now that you know a little more about Australia, I would like you to choose an area of Australia to promote! Promoting a place means that you are going to persuade people to want to go there.
Choose your area and find out about the things to do and see there. List the positive aspects of the place on the table provided in the resources.
Read through my example persuasive text and highlight the key features that I have used.
Think about the language that you are going to use and have a go at the estate agent activity to use some interesting and persuasive language to fill in the gaps.
Use the planning frame to plan your writing - thinking of the key features that you are going to use to make your writing successful
Draft and edit your persuasive text, check your spellings and ensure that you are using lots of ambitious vocabulary including fronted adverbials and time prepositions.
Write up your work and include pictures and photographs of the place that you are persuading people to go to - think about your audience. Can you persuade the teachers and staff within the White Peak Federation to go to your area?
Send your finished work to one of the KS2 teachers via email for us to look at.
Enjoy your writing!
