Thank you to everyone who has sent in a newspaper report, we are still waiting for our questions to be answered by the Australian contacts as there were so many fantastic ones! So, In the meantime, I think it is time for us to do some story writing!
Watch the story starter below:
Watch UK school teacher Mr Thorne and Youtube sensation Geraldine the Giraffe take you on a learning journey through the world of phonics, grammar, spelling ...
Although Mr Thorne talks about an island, you need to remember our topic is Australia - so you should link your story to this. Maybe it is not treasure that you spot, but a kind of animal only present in Australia? Or, do you see a bush fire that you need help to extinguish? Or do you get lost on the island and find a historical Aboriginal map that guides you somewhere new?
The ideas that you have are limited only to you imagination! Remember to use your fabulous vocabulary and different sentence types. You could also use the similes, metaphors and personification that we used in the poetry week!
Have fun with your story, I look forward to reading them!
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
