Geraldine the Giraffe learns /tion/ spelling

This week we are learning how to spell words ending in -tion like in the word action.

If we sound out action as ac/t/i/on, it doesn’t make sense!

The –tion ending is pronounced /sh/Ə/n/ ('shen').

The tion letter string is one that is found in a lot of words. Try reading these words by sounding out now that you know how to say -tion.

position, station, education.
