This week, we are going to have a go at creative writing - this could be a story, poem, description, or letter.
Use the picture above and create a vocabulary list of things you would see, hear, smell, feel, taste and your emotions. Think about the imagery that you could use to add more detail to the reader.
Metaphors, personification and similes are examples of this.
Once you have your list together - you can start to plan your writing. Are you going to tell a story? Write a description? Write a poem?
Once your planning is finished - thinking about making your writing flow - you can then start to draft your creation. What sentence structures could you include in your writing?
Fronted adverbials, embedded clauses, short sentences, long, complex sentences?
How could your writing be more interesting to read?
Edit and check your work - spellings, punctuation, grammar?
Present your work with illustrations, word processing etc. and submit to a KS2 teacher's email.
We look forward to reading your work!
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
